Finance Foxx

Crochet home decor, one cozy project at a time

About

Finance Foxx is a free resource for making crochet home decor: pillows, baskets, wall hangings, kitchen pieces and other handmade things that make a room feel warmer. The name comes from the domain; the subject is yarn. Every guide is written for people who know a few basic stitches, or are just learning them, and want to make something useful for their home.

What you will find here

  • Technique guides that cover the groundwork: which yarn suits which room, how to choose colors, how to size a piece so it fits, texture stitches, and finishing.
  • Step-by-step patterns organized by room, from coasters and dishcloths to throw pillows, storage baskets and wall hangings.
  • Planning ideas for combining handmade pieces in a room and for decorating through the seasons.

If you are new, the best place to begin is Crochet Home Decor for Beginners, followed by the guide to the best yarn for crochet home decor. The full list of guides is on the Tutorials page.

How the guides are written

Every pattern uses standard US crochet terms and explains its abbreviations. Each one lists the yarn weight, hook size and finished size at the top, gives measurements in inches and centimeters, and includes stitch counts so you can check your work as you go. Yardage and time are given as estimates, because tension and pace differ from one person to the next.

The patterns are written for this site. They are built from common stitches and standard construction methods that belong to everyone, such as flat circles, simple rectangles and seamed panels.

The images on this site are drawn illustrations made to show the shape, construction and texture of each project. They are not photographs of finished pieces, and your yarn and colors will give your own result.

We do not publish invented reviews, ratings or testimonials, and the site does not recommend or sell specific brands.

Corrections and suggestions

If a row count looks wrong, a step is unclear or a link is broken, please tell us through the Contact page. Clear instructions matter more to us than anything else on the site, and corrections are always welcome.
